Programs

The Young Artists Academy Mentorship Program is committed to developing the complete artist by nurturing both the individual and the dancer. Through seminars, group gatherings, community service, and educational excursions, this program enhances each artist’s leadership and team building skills. Members explore self-awareness, identity, creative thinking, and more. Divided into junior and senior levels, the mentorship program gives senior students the opportunity to serve as a role model for junior students while also receiving mentorship from NAOD alumni and artistic professionals. Some examples of our mentorship programming include:

  • Professional development

  • Etiquette

  • Life coaching

  • Self care

  • Money Management

  • Nutrition and Heath

  • Social Relationships

The “Cultivate” Teaching Assistant Program is designed to nurture the development of students by providing comprehensive training in the art of dance instruction, emphasizing both the qualities that make an exceptional dance teacher and the practical skills needed for effective teaching. Through teacher training seminars, retreats, and engaging team-building activities, participants not only gain valuable insights into leadership and responsibility but also cultivate a strong sense of community. Teaching assistants in the program receive hands-on experience in the classroom, actively contributing to the learning environment and honing their teaching abilities.
