Synergy
Ages 5–18 · by audition
A pre-competitive track for dancers ready to go further — stronger training, real performance opportunities, and a path toward YAA.
ABOUT THIS PROGRAM
More training, more opportunity
Synergy dancers train roughly 3 hours a week, including required technique classes and a weekly rehearsal. Synergy is one of NAOD's two performing companies, alongside YAA — auditions are held each May, and we recommend at least a year in Enrichment first. Dancers who show readiness may also be invited to audition for placement in select YAA-level training classes based on faculty recommendation.
Class structure
Synergy I & II
Required: Ballet, Jazz, Tap. Electives: Hip Hop & Acro.
Synergy III
Required: Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary. Electives: Hip Hop, Acro, Tap.
Two competitions per season
Perform in the Holiday Production, Spring Concert, and Ensemble Showcase
May join community performances alongside YAA dancers
One dance convention per season
Occasional guest artist workshops throughout the season
Required attendance at the NAOD Elevate Summer Intensive

What to expect
