NBM Legacy
Incorporated in 2022 to sustain and expand what Norma B. Mitchell started — a 501(c)(3) building philanthropic capacity around access, community programming, and mentorship, alongside the studio she founded.

Norma's Academy of Dance is the tuition-based training organization — classes, programs, and technique-based dance education for students ages 3 and up.

Hope for Christmas
Our flagship public production — school and community performances pairing artistic excellence with public benefit. This year's concert runs December 12–13 at the Riverside Epicenter.
YAA Scholarships
Expanding access to Young Artists Academy training for dancers who show readiness and commitment, regardless of a family's ability to pay full tuition.
Cultivate & Mentorship
Structured leadership and mentorship programming for advanced dancers developing teaching, choreography, and leadership skills alongside NAOD faculty.

ACCESSIBILITY
Built for the whole community
ASL interpretation is planned for all Hope for Christmas performances, public and school shows alike. Public tickets are tiered at $20–$25, with discount codes for NAOD families and subsidized seats distributed through school and community partners so cost isn't a barrier to attending.
