Classes @ Norma's:
Ballet |
Considered to be the “foundation” of all dance, the focus of this class is discipline. The dancer becomes totally in tune with proper body alignment and body placement. Allowing the body and mind to become totally involved in class, the dancer allows herself to master the technique of Ballet, and in turn becomes a proficient work of art |
Baby Ballet |
For ages 3-6 years old, this class is designed as an introduction to basic ballet movements and terminology. The students explore movement in center floor and movement moving across the floor. Interpretative movements are also incorporated providing an atmosphere for enjoyment and relaxation. |
Introduction to
Pre-Ballet |
For ages 6-9,
this class is a natural progression from Baby Ballet. Newly enrolled students may enroll in this class at the discretion of the director. |
Pre-Ballet II |
All of these levels begin to explore the true fundamentals of ballet. Placement, alignment and discipline. Students begin to take written and oral exams on ballet terminology. They must pass these exams to progress to the next level. |
